Mastercard Foundation Agribusiness Challenge Fund 2024-2025

Applications are now open for the Mastercard Foundation Agribusiness Challenge Fund 2024-2025. This challenge is designed to support SMEs within the agricultural sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, specifically targeting businesses capable of creating employment opportunities for youth, women, and young people with disabilities, as well as refugee youth.
This Fund, part of the Mastercard Foundation’s larger initiative for resilience and prosperity, follows up on the Mastercard Foundation Fund for Rural Prosperity. Over eight years, that fund helped businesses scale financial solutions across rural Africa, supporting 38 businesses in 15 countries and reaching over 5.3 million people.
The Agribusiness Challenge Fund will support SMEs with innovative and commercially viable agribusiness models in 20 Sub-Saharan countries. Selected SMEs will receive grants ranging from $500,000 to $2.5 million, along with tailored technical assistance to meet specific business milestones.
